Sailing is a mainstay of the Canada Summer Games.

It has been a part of every Canada Summer Games since 1969 (with the exception of 1973). Sailing events for athletes with a physical disability were added at the 2013 Games in Sherbrooke.
Notable alumni include Olympians Richard Clarke, Ross MacDonald, and Nikola Girke, and Paralympian Logan Campbell.
