Pippy Park

The centrepiece of St. John‘s parklands, Pippy Park is a 3,400-acre land reserve and a nature conservation and recreation area within minutes of the downtown core.

Pippy Park contains a range of recreational facilities including two golf courses, the province‘s largest serviced campground, walking and skiing trails as well as a protected habitat for many plants and animals.

Pippy Park’s many kilometres of scenic trails offer a diversity of landscapes, lengths and levels of difficulty. The trails weave through forests and barrens, beside wetlands and rivers, up hills and across parklands. The course has been described as rooty and slick rock with a mix of single track and double track, and gravel connector paths with some hills. It also includes, like a lot of things in Newfoundland, some very colourful trail names such as Boulder Run, Wisdom and DSA (we will let you figure it out)!
