Sustainability is a core value of the 2025 Canada Games, and we’re proud to be making strides in reducing waste and supporting our local communities. Through collaborating with Second Harvest, we’re doing our part in tackling food waste and giving back by donating surplus meals from Games events to those who need them most. 

Since our first donation during the One Year Out Community Baseball Game in August, we’ve proudly provided 380 meals to local nonprofits, ensuring that good food goes to people—not to waste. This initiative also brings powerful environmental benefits, helping us offset an incredible 3,188 lbs of greenhouse gas emissions! 

Using the Second Harvest app, we’re able to connect with organizations that align with our values, making a difference one meal at a time.
