Newfoundland and Labrador Sport Centre

The Newfoundland and Labrador Sport Centre is the province’s flagship sports facility.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Sport Centre is home to the PowerPlex and Dr. Noel Browne High-Performance Centre. Opening in 2008, this facility includes 5,000 sq. ft. of world-class strength and conditioning space and is situated on the same site as the Swilers Rugby Complex. 

The PowerPlex multi-sport facility has one of the largest high-performance hardwood sports floors in Canada at 64m x 46m, while the Crosbie and Parsons gymnasium has four basketball courts and seven volleyball or seven badminton courts that are playable at any one time. 

2025 Games Capital Construction: 

Improvements to the current portable nets to allow shot clocks mounted on backboards, facility upgrades including new court divider barriers, sustainability enhancements - water bottle fill station.
