Hebron Announced As The Presenting Partner of The 2025 Canada Games “Catch The Spirit” Program

(St. John’s, NL - August 27, 2024) — The 2025 Canada Games Host Society is excited to announce Hebron as the presenting partner of the Canada Games Catch the Spirit Program - a free teaching resource for educators and students in Grades K-9 across the country.

The program was designed and launched in 2003 by educators, for educators. It was created to inspire youth to embrace the Canada Games movement and the many benefits of physical activity and sport. The newly revamped program is designed to assist the curriculum in a fun, inclusive and engaging way, and can be integrated into classrooms through five overarching themes: Arts and Culture, Goal Setting & Leadership, Healthy Living & Sport, Official Languages of Canada, and Unifying Canada.

“We’re excited to welcome Hebron as the presenting partner of the 2025 Canada Games Catch the Spirit program. Their support will help us encourage youth to connect with the Canada Games both in the classroom and online,” said Kim Keating and Karl Smith, 2025 Canada Games Board Co-Chairs. “Hebron’s sponsorship reflects our shared commitment to encourage youth to get active, learn about the power of sport, and develop skills that will benefit them both on and off the field of play.”

“Canada Games Catch the Spirit Program will teach simple yet meaningful curriculum-based lessons to Canadian youth.” said Kerry Moreland, President of ExxonMobil Canada. “At Hebron, we see this as an investment in the future of our youth, our communities and our province.”

The program launches in schools across the province in September. To learn more about the Catch the Spirit visit 2025canadagames.ca/catchthespirit
