The 2025 Canada Games Host Society is pleased to announce Hibernia as the presenting partner of the Health and Wellness Program, a first in the history of the Canada Games.
The innovative program includes educational opportunities for over 150 Games medical personnel, first aid and CPR training for local first responders, mental health first aid for 55 Games personnel, and specialized training for working with para-athletes and Special Olympics athletes. The Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine will also work with the Games’ Medical Leadership Team.
"With Hibernia’s support, we will set a new standard for health and wellness at the 2025 Canada Games," said Kim Keating and Karl Smith, Co-Chairs of the 2025 Canada Games Board. "This program not only ensures our athletes receive exceptional care during the Games, but will equip our personnel, volunteers, and medical teams with the latest training and resources available."
Additionally, the program will offer mental health education and resources to athletes throughout the Games, empowering youth to thrive both on and off the field.
“Hibernia is proud to contribute to setting a new standard for health and wellness at the 2025 Canada Games, empowering youth to thrive both on and off the field,” said Duncan Fitzpatrick, President of Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd. “The program underscores Hibernia’s commitment to health and wellness and will provide the Canada Games teams with essential skills, creating a knowledgeable network within the province.”
