(St. John’s, NL - February 28, 2024) — The 2025 Canada Games Host Society is excited to welcome North Sun Energy as a premier partner and the exclusive presenting partner of the Orangestore 2025 Canada Games Torch Relay. The partnership was announced today during a special ceremony at Memorial University’s Signal Hill Campus.

“The torch relay is a significant element of the Canada Games that demonstrates the power of sport, community, and bringing people together,” said Kim Keating and Karl Smith, 2025 Canada Games Board Co-Chairs. “We’re grateful to North Sun Energy for their support to help us create excitement and showcase the magic of the Games movement.” 

The Orangestore 2025 Canada Games Torch Relay kicks off in June 2025 with a lighting ceremony from the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The Roly McLenahan Torch will then travel to Newfoundland and Labrador making stops across the province before its final stop at the Opening Ceremony on August 9, 2025.
